Water Polo
This week for reading we are learning about the Olympic games. Today we are learning about the sports that are in the Olympics. Water Polo is a water sport in the summer Olympics. The first time water polo was in the Olympics was in the Paris 1900 and the first time women were allowed to play was the Sydney 2000 games. The aim of the game is that there are two teams of seven players compete against each other. To win your team has to score a goal by throwing a ball into a goal. When you are throwing or catching the ball must be done with one hand. You can't sash water into someone face.

Water polo sounds like a difficult sport to play. I wonder if you have to tread the water constantly or if you are allowed to touch the bottom of the pool? Perhaps you could find out.
