Verse 1
My heart is shattered into a, (million piece x2) million pieces.
Shattered like glass, laying (on the ground x3).
No-one can fix this (broken heart x2).
On-one but you.
Chorus
You where there one day gone the next
I hope that one day I will see you again.
Not too soon I will see you up-above
It's hard without you.
Verse 2
Your gone and you took a piece my my heart with you.
It's gone, gone with you.
I don't mind that you took it with you.
I just wish I knew when you will fix it.
Chorus
You where there one day gone the next
I hope that one day I will see you again.
Not too soon I will see you up-above
It's hard without you.
Verse 3
My heart is a black hole.
In the middle is the hole where you took a piece of my heart.
It's taking everything with you.
My happiness, my light, my memories.
Everything is escaping me going out looking for you.
No-one can fix this broken heart.
On-one but you.
Can you guess which emotion I choose. You will never get it!

ReplyDeleteGreat work. I like the way you have focussed on that 'show don't tell' approach, it is the secret to great poetry. Perhaps musicians are in fact our 21st century poets?
