Our Cerulean Poem

Cerulean is a colour.
Cerulean is like the sea.
The sky was a cerulean colour just like the ocean.
His new car is cerulean, and the sky is blue the water is too.

The sky is cerulean.
Cerulean is not just a colour name it is closely associated with the sky.
The sky was a dull grey, until the sky turned cerulean blue.
A car is a cerulean.
Cerulean is like the blue sky.

Papa smurf is a light cerulean.
The ocean was cerulean on a bright sunny day.
The wall was painted cerulean.

The sea was a glistening cerulean today, even more beautiful than the smooth, cloudless sky.
In my dream the tree's were a cerulean blue.
Cerulean is a bright colour.
Cerulean is a colour.

Imaginaion Poem

This week for reading we are learning about the Olympic games. Today we are learning about the sports that are in the Olympics. For this activity we had to imagine we worked for TVNZ and we were paid to travel to Rio de Janeiro to attend the Olympic Games. Here is my poem.

The fear ran through me like a lightning bolt.
My sweaty hands grasped the airline tickets
The enormity brought me to a halt
I felt the power of the Olympic spirit

My idols awaited me
I roamed around the stadiums with Glee
Reporting the high and lows made me feel mixed emotions
Bringing medals back home over the ocean

My Many Coloured Days Poem

On Thursday a few weeks ago Mr Maderin came in and taught us about thinglink. He showed us how to make a  rainbow and upload it to thinglink, then he showed us how to put tags on it. If you hover your mouse over the rainbow a sentence from my poem called 'My Many Coloured Days' will appear. The poem is about how colours are feelings. Here is my poem (on the rainbow).

Goodbye frosty ice, ice blocks and ice-cream, hello tropical creamy pumpkin soup
Goodbye swimming in the cool outside pools, hello delightful inside games
Goodbye annoying flies and bits, hello amazing bit free days and nights
Goodbye helpful and divine sun hats, hello beautiful gumboots
Goodbye splashy water fights, hello leafy leaf fights
Goodbye bare feet inside, hello warm slippers
Goodbye green leafs, hello brown leafs
Goodbye summer, hello autumn.
