Mary the Papergirl
For Passion Projects 2018 I am doing Musical Theatre we are doing Bugsy Malone. I am playing a papergirl. To get into character we had to think about who they are. I chose the name Mary because it popular in the 1920's. She is 13, coming from a poor family Mary started work at 7, she recently got a job as a papergirl pretending to be a boy. She is anxious to be able to get enough money to keep her family alive. Also here a link to a website of the basic history of paperboys.

Morena Tia ( Mary ;) ;) ) What a wonderful idea for your character. I love that you have chosen a name that would have been popular in the 20's. Your back story will really give you a sense of who you are when you are on stage! Love it! What is Mary going to wear on stage? How different does Mary dress compared to Tia? ;)
